We are a local referral service for Adams County homeowners. We are not a remediation contractor, and this page explains exactly what that means, how we choose the professionals we refer, and how we get paid.

How the referral works

When you send a request through the form on any page of this site, we read it, and we pass it to an independent local mold professional who handles work in your part of Adams County. That professional contacts you directly, inspects or quotes the job, and does the work under their own name, their own contract, and their own insurance. We do not perform inspections or remediation ourselves, we do not set their prices, and we are not a party to the agreement between you and them. Everything on this site about how a job should be done, what to ask for, and what things cost is written to help you judge the professional in front of you, whoever that is.

How we choose the professionals we refer

Before we refer a professional, we require the following. They must hold current IICRC certification relevant to mold work, and we ask for the Applied Microbial Remediation Technician credential specifically. They must state that their remediation work follows the ANSI/IICRC S520 Standard for Professional Mold Remediation. They must provide written, itemized quotes before work begins, and they must address the moisture source as part of every remediation rather than treating growth alone. They must carry general liability insurance and be willing to show the certificate to any homeowner who asks. And they must work in Adams County as a regular matter, not as an occasional long drive. We stop referring anyone we receive credible complaints about. Pennsylvania has no state license for mold work, so these industry criteria are the standard we hold to in place of one.

How we get paid

The businesses we refer may pay us for the introduction. You do not pay us anything, and the price a professional quotes you is theirs to set; we do not add to it. The disclosure at the bottom of every page says the same thing in one sentence, and we would rather you read it here in full than be surprised by it.

What we ask of you

Judge the professional we refer the way this site tells you to judge anyone: ask for the certification, ask for the itemized quote, ask about the moisture plan. If they fall short, tell us through the contact page; it is how the list stays good. And if you only want information, the pages on inspection, basement mold, and cost are free to read and written to be useful whether or not you ever send the form.
